8th National Symposium on Solid State Batteries to be held in Wuhan, China

The 8th National Symposium on Solid State Batteries is scheduled to be held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China from April 26-28, 2023, hosted by the Solid State Ion Society of the Chinese Silicate Society, organized by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and co-sponsored by Wuhan University of Technology.

The rapid development of new energy vehicles and large-scale energy storage has raised new expectations and requirements for the energy density and safety of secondary batteries such as lithium/sodium ion batteries. While traditional liquid physical ion batteries are approaching their energy density limits and the presence of flammable organic electrolytes leads to safety hazards in traditional carboxy-ion batteries, solid-state batteries have demonstrated unique advantages in energy density, lifetime, applicability, safety and other indexes, and have been supported by key projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Foundation Committee, and are a worldwide R&D hotspot. The National Solid State Battery Symposium is held once a year and is an academic event and communication platform for Chinese solid state battery R&D and enterprises. This year's conference focuses on the basic, application and frontier issues of solid-state battery technology development, presents the latest research progress and achievements in the field of solid-state batteries, discusses the opportunities, challenges and future development directions of solid-state batteries, strengthens scientific cooperation and technology transformation, and jointly promotes the rapid development of solid-state batteries.

Based on the success of the previous seven national solid-state battery symposiums, the Solid State Ionics Branch of the Chinese Silicate Society and the organizing committee of this conference cordially invite scholars, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials from all over China and overseas who are engaged in basic research, application development and industry in the field of solid-state batteries to gather in the hero city of Wuhan to exchange and present the latest research results in the direction of solid-state batteries.
