The 9th National Carbon Catalysis Academic Conference, organized by the Energy Particle Materials Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Particuology, and hosted by Taiyuan University of Technology, Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences), and Shanxi Clean Energy Research Institute of Tsinghua University, will be held from September 16th to 19th, 2023 at the Sunshine International Hotel in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China.
With the theme of "High-quality Development of Carbon Catalysis and Carbon Materials Industry," this conference will be jointly chaired by Professor Jiping Li, Researcher Yitian Fang, and Professor Qiang Zhang. Under the context of the "30-60" dual carbon targets, the conference will focus on key scientific issues in carbon catalysis, green trends in the carbon-based materials industry, and talent development pathways. Through keynote speeches, themed sessions, invited talks, oral presentations, and poster presentations, the conference aims to explore the latest research advancements and future directions in carbon catalysis and carbon materials industry, as well as address the challenges and strategies for the green development of the carbon-based materials industry. The conference aims to broaden academic perspectives, inspire scientific and creative ideas, and create an interactive platform for collaboration and growth.
The National Carbon Catalysis Academic Conference was initiated by the late renowned scientist Professor Dangsheng Su in 2013. It has been successfully held in Shenyang, Guangzhou, Changsha, and Yinchuan for eight sessions. This series of conferences has become an important academic exchange platform and hub for knowledge dissemination in the field of carbon catalysis in China.
This conference welcomes scientific paper abstracts from researchers in the fields of carbon catalysis, carbon materials, and their applications in chemical engineering, energy, materials, and the environment. The conference will also award certificates to outstanding poster presenters. Active submission of abstracts is encouraged.
Porous materials such as molecular sieves, porous carbons, and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) possess diverse structures, adjustable compositions, variable pore sizes, and controllable physicochemical properties. They have been widely applied in fields such as ion exchange, adsorption separation, shape-selective catalysis, and host-guest assembly. The study of synthesis mechanisms, optimization of active sites, and exploration of reaction mechanisms are key to the structural control, performance improvement, and application expansion of porous materials. These areas represent hot topics in the synthesis and application development of porous materials. In order to promote the exchange of frontier advancements, explore focal issues, and facilitate talent growth in the field of porous materials synthesis, application, and characterization, the 1st Frontier Forum on Porous Materials Synthesis, Application, and Characterization will be held concurrently with the National Carbon Catalysis Conference from September 16th to 19th, 2023 in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. The forum is organized by the Energy Particle Materials Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Particuology and Tsinghua University.
